WEDDING

A desk of my own
By the time we were ready for bed, I had cleared off the desk in the alcove and stripped the bed, ready to move it into the guest room. There is hope of finding a room to work in yet.

The attempt to hang the shower rod in the jacuzzi tub was far less successful. The stud finder seemed to think the the studs ran east-west through the room, but from the attic it was clear that they truly run north-south. A good long nail we tried to put through from the attic right next to a stud failed to even break the surface of the ceiling. Enough for one day.

Corn on the cob for dinner.

Chipotle with Darrek
For lunch; he burned the wedding pictures on CD.

Came home early
Everyone left -- the office was nearly deserted, and we had no publications on deadline. It was a great day to leave early. Amy had a meeting at Bishop Watterson and made it home just before I did. A really good chicken with feta for dinner that Amy slowly came to admit was worth the work. (I would even help -- it was very good).

Corn on the cob
August dinner. After a long day of meeting (and listening to talking) for Amy.

Polybag deadlines
An 11-hour day doesn't leave much time for anything else. A late-breaking page 1 story on a generic drug-manufacturer moving to Hilliard plus photographer Janet Adams on vacation were the challenges this week.

Babysitting neices
Exceptionally surprisingly easy -- did Mike and Jen deliberately wear them out beforehand so we would be more likely to accept next time?

We played outside for a few minutes, chalked on the driveway, rode a bicycle around a couple turns, and then watched the beginning of 101 Dalmations. And then went to bed. They did, anyway. Peacefully and without complaining.

Showed off wedding pictures
To Mom & Dad -- we went through the two CDs that Gary had taken. We will have them over for dinner sometime, but were not up for that yet (pizza tonight).

The day of closets
Red room closet and kitchen closet have been cleaned and somewhat arranged.
